FIJI INTERNATIONAL JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL.
What a blast I had being a part of this melting pot of talented musicians hailing as far as the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. All converging on the splendid resorts in Port Denarau resounding with live music and performances. The warm weather, spectaculor music and buzzy vibe made for an incredible four days and nights of magic. Bula Vanaka!
Hundreds of artists and muscians from all around the world including our very own Trinity Roots, Sola Rosa, Rhombus and sister in song, Maisey Rika, sharing the love and sharing the music with thousands of mesmerised fans. http://www.womad.org/about/
I met many inspiring artists and astute business people at the two day music conference including internationally renown artist Moana Maniapoto and Fat Freddy’s Drop manager, Nicole Duckworth. Moana who draws on her identity as a Maori woman with a background in traditional performing arts to write songs that resonate with global audiences. Nicole Duckworth is the business brain and self confessed matriarch of Fat Freddy’s Drop. Also pictured below is Myele Manzanza, percussionist from Electric Wire Hustle and James from the Nudge. www.soundsaotearoa.com
